Adam West(born on September, 19, 1928) is an American actor who is best known for being Batman in the 1960 TV series and film with the same name. He is also famous because of it's ability to portray different versions of him and because of the fact that he was part of the cast of series such as The Fairly OddParents and Family Guy.

Adam West was born in Seattle, WA he's one of the children of Otto West Anderson and Audrey V. Speer, his brother being John. When he was in high school he entered Walla Walla High School and later in Lakeside School, both being in Seattle. When West finished his studies he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and Psychology from Withman College.

Rise to Fame

West became famous when moved in 1959 in Hollywood having the stage name of Adam West appearing in many series and movies. He appeared in the film The Young Philadelphians with Paul Newman, but also in meny western style movies. He portrayed Wild Bill Hickok in the episode Westbound Stage in the western TV series The Outer Limits created by NBC. He also appeared briefly in the movie Robinson Cursoe on Mars in 1964. The real period when he became famous was when he was portraying Batman. In 1970 West had an offer of playing as James Bond in 007:Diamonds Are Forever. West returned to his role as Batman in the short-lived animated series The New Adventures of Batman. He also made an appearence in an episode of Batman:The Animated Series TV series made by FOX and in the CGI animated short Batman :New Times.
