Alicia Silverstone was born on October 4, 1976 and she is a a famous actress and model. She came to media attention after appearing in Aerosmith videos.
Alicia was born in San Francisco, California. Her mother is Deirdre, which worked as a flight attendant for the Pan Am company. Her father is Monty Silverstone which also worked as a part-time actor but was more into the real-estate business. Deidre, was born in Scotland and she converted to Conservative Judaism in order to marry Alicia's father.
Silverstone's talent runs through the family, her half sister Kezi Silverstone being a Londoneze rock singer. She also has another half-brother named David.
In 1990, Alicia played the role of a teenaged girl in "The Crush", an american thriller film for which she won the Best Breakthrough Performance and Best Villain MTV Movie Awards. Marty Callner saw her performance and decided she fits perfectly in a musiv video for Aerosmith, the american rock band.
Overall, Silverstone has won many awards including the MTV Movie Awards, the Young Artist Award and the Golden Raspberry Award. She was nominated for Emmy and Golden Globe but didn't win any of them. Although she took allot of roles, she also refused some. In 1994, she refused the role of Valerie Malone in the Beverly Hills drama series. In 1993, she auditioned for the role of Angela Chase in "My So-Called Life" series but she was refused in favor of Claire Danes. She appeared in three Aerosmith videos: "Cryin", "Amazing", and "Crazy". She got allot of attention for playing in these videos and amongst the ones that saw her was Amy Heckerling who cast her in the comedy film "Clueless" alongside Stacey Dash and Brittany Murphy.
She played the Bat Girl in the famous superhero movie "Batman & Robin". Although the movie got sold big in the whole world, her performance in the movie wasn't very good and she was the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actress.
From 2000 to 2009 she appeared in various films and movies. She sung and danced for the movie "Love's Labour's Lost" which was a comic play by William Shakespeare. She played a small role as a reporter in Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. In 2006 she starred in Stormbreaker, a british spy film and also in Hallmark's Candles on Bay Street, a TV movie.
2008 brought her another ABC pilot "Bad Mother's Handbook".
In 2009 she starred in the "Time Stands Still" play written by Donald Marguiles, a Pulitzer Prize winner. Amy Hackerling was came to see her play in Time Stands Still and offered her a role in Vamps, a vampire film directed by him.
