Christopher John Davison was born on 15 October 1948His father, Colonel Charles Davison, was a British diplomat and his mother, Maeve Emily de Burgh, Irish, accompanying him on diplomatic missions worldwide.
Burgh family lived in Bargy Castle, County Wexford, a castle of XII century grandfather bought Chris Sir Eric de Burgh. It seems the family is related to Hubert de Burgh Burgh Noble at the time of King John. The castle was converted into a hotel where Chris used to sing for guests and took the stage name of Burgh.
Chris attended Marlborough College, in Wiltshire, then attended Trinity College in Dublin, receiving a master's degree in English, French and History.
In 1974, Chris de Burgh signed with A & M Records and sang the opening band Supertramp in their tour "Crimes of the Century." He debuted with the album "Far Beyond Castle Walls tissue, but failed to climb the charts.
In July 1975, released the single "Flying", that impression was not in Britain, but remained on top in Brazil for 17 weeks. He entered the top U.K with the single "Best Moves".
The real success came with the ballad "Lady in Red" in 1986, which was #1 an #3 in England and USA. Album that also included the single, "Into the Light" reached #2 in Britain.
The album also contains the song "For Rosanna", composed by Chris de Burgh in 1984 to celebrate the birth of his daughter Rosanna Davison, who would win the Miss World title in 2003. Chris de Burgh has two sons with his wife Diane.
After sixteen studio albums, released Chris de Burgh in 2008 album "Footsteps", which includes cover songs and two songs composed by him.
