Hugo Wallace Weaving is a bristish-australian film and stage actor born on 4 April 1960. He is famouse because he played the role of Agent Smith in the Matrix trilogy, Elrond in the Lord of the Rings and V in V for Vendetta. Weaving was born in Ibadan, Nigeria to english nationality parents Anne and Wallace Weaving. He had spent he's childhood mostly in Australia, the UK and South Africa. When he was in England he an independent boarding schhol named Queen Elizabeth's Hospital. When he's family moved to Australia in the year 1976 he moved he's studies to Knox Grammar School located in Sydney.
Rise to Fame
One of his first roles in his career which made him known to a larger public was in the The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert released in the year 1994. Weaving received the Best Actor award for his great acting in the movie The Interview by the Montreal Film Festival
Weaving became famous internationally when he received the role for Agent Smith in the Matrix series. He also gained popularity because of it's role as Elrond in The Lord of the Rings. Another role that gave Weaving popularity was the role as V from the 2006 movie V for Vendetta.
Personal life
When Weaving was 12 he was diagnosed with epilepsy. He now lives with his wife named Katrina Greenwood and with his two chilrden named Harry and Holly. He also has a brother named Simeon Weaving.
He is also the main ambassador for Voiceless, an Australian animal rights organization. He also attends to interviews and events regarding Voiceless.
