Jessica Claire Biel, an actress and model, was born on 3 March 1982 in Ely, Minnesota, Usa. Her mother, Kimberly Biel, a spiritual healer and her father Jonathan Biel an entrepreneur and international business consultant. Jessica has one younger brother named Justin (he was born in 1985). Biel and her family used to move very frequently in her childhood, they settled in Boulder, Colorado after moving from Texas, Connecticut and Woodstock, Illinois.
At a young age Biel started training to be a singer and appeared in several musical theatre productions playing the lead role in Annie, The Sound of Music and Beauty and the Beast.
Jessica was noticed and signed to a talent agency after competing in the "International Modeling and Talent Association" conference in Los Angeles (1994).
She began working as a model for print ads, and also appeared in commercials for Deluxe Paint and famous chips company, Pringles.
In her spare time, Jessica is involved in charities such as Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and PETA. Jessica has multiple hobbies that include: soccer, ballet, yoga and she also enjoys hiking with her dog "East".
Rise to fame
Jessica's film career began at age 14 when she landed a role alongside Peter Fonda in his Golden Globe-winning performance in Ulee's Gold (1997) playing Peter Fonda's granddaughter.
She also played in "I'll Be Home for Christmas in 1998, Summer Catch in 2001, Roger Avary's The Rules of Attraction (2002), Cellular in 2004. Her acting talent surfaced when she was offered lead roles on Broadway in "Rent" and "Beauty and the Beast".
