Kate Levering was born on January 1, 1979 in Sacramento, California. Kate grew up in Sacramento and in 1997, she graduated from "El Camino" Fundamental High School. She started acting, participating in various school musicals and dancing classes.
In 1997, after graduation, she decided to pursue an acting career on Broadway. Kate left Sacramento and moved to New York City. In 2001, she played the role of Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street and won the Fred Astaire Award of best Female Dancer for her tap dancing performance during the show. She was also nominated for Best Featured Actress in a Musical category (Tony Award).
Levering also appeared as a guest in numerous television shows including: Home Improvement, Law & Order: Special Victims unit, Witchblade, Cold Case.
Kate played the role of Jeanne Martin in "Martin and Lewis", in 2002.
Kate played her best known role "Veronica Carter", an attorney in the tv series: Kevin Hill (2005), but the series was canceled after just one season.
Levering also played in some of CSI: Miami's episodes: The Score, in 2006; Las Vegas, Medium, K-Ville, Ghost Whisperer in 2007 and Cashmere Mafia, White Collar in 2010.
