Kerry Jayne Elizabeth Katona is an English singer actress and TV Personality. She was born on 6 September 1980 in Warrington, Cheshire, England.
Why Famous?
She is an accomlished writer and television host. Kerrie also tried her skills as a pop singer with Atomic Kitten, a famous all girls band. She rose to fame as a member of all-female pop trio Atomic Kitten at the age of 19. She is a magazine columnist, an actress, and the "author" of ghostwritten books that include an autobiography and several novels. She has appeared in television commercials, notably for the Iceland and Asda supermarkets. She wrote three novels, Tough Love, The Footballer's Wife, and Glamour Girl.
On 15 July 2007, Katona and Croft were held hostage at their £1.5 million home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, along with their daughter Heidi. According to their account, three men forcibly entered their home. One held Katona at knifepoint while the others forced Croft to show them where valuables were kept. Nobody was physically harmed, but the men allegedly left with a blue BMW and other valuables, a total loss in the region of £100,000 - £150,000.
Evolution
She abandoned her school & joined a dance group and adopted the profession of a stripper at the age of 16. In 1999, at the age of eighteen, Katona rose to fame as a member of the Atomic Kitten, an all-female pop trio, which had been created by former OMD frontman Andy McCluskey. While Katona was in the group, Atomic Kitten only enjoyed limited success, having four top-twenty singles in Britain, and their debut album Right Now reached number 39 on the British album charts. Despite this, Cradle was a huge hit in Asia, reaching nr. 1 there.
In 2001, Nude photographs were published in the U.K. tabloid newspaper “The Sunday Sport”.
She was the winner of the TV show “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!” broadcsted in February 2004. In July 2004, both husband and wife came together on "The Keith Barret Show". She was a judge in the RTE talent show “You’re A Star” which selected Ireland’s candidates to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Katona starred in My Fair Kerry on ITV in July 2005, where she was taught airs and graces to transform herself from ladette to lady. She starred in an Irish drama called Showbands in the same year.
She became the subject of MTV reality shows and from 2007 to 2009 she appeared in Kerry Katona: Crazy in Love, Kerry Katona: Whole Again. Her peak audience slumped from 500 thousand to almost 20 thousand in 2009. MTV dropped the reality show that year.

Family
Kerry Katona’s grew up with her mother and foster parents. Katona was brought up partly by her mother Sue Katona and partly by her stepfather In her early childhood, she was under care of four sets of foster parents which made her change schools frequently.
Personal Life
Katona married Brian McFadden on 5th January 2002 at Rathfeigh in County Meath. The couple spent their honeymoon in Mauritius. They are blessed with two daughters Molly McFadden born on 31st August 31, 2001 and Lilly-Sue McFadden who was born on 3rd February, 2003 in Dublin, Ireland. The couple separated in September 2004 and their divorced was finalised in December 2006. Their divorce made Katona depressed and pushed her towards drug abuse, A habit for which she had to go to rehabilitation centre.
In 2005, Kerry, came close to her former lover Dave Cunningham but their relationship ended in 7 months.
On 14 February 2007, Katona married taxi driver Mark Croft in a private ceremony in Gretna Green, with two friends as witnesses. Six days later, on 20 February 2007, the couple's daughter Heidi Elizabeth Croft was delivered by Caesarean section at Macclesfield General Hospital. Six weeks premature, the baby weighed 5 lb (2,300 g).
