Rihanna (Robyn Rihanna Fenty) is a singer from Barbados who now lives in San Diego, California.

Rihanna was born in Saint Michael, Barbados on February 20, 1988, being the oldest child in his family. His father Ronald Fenty, a black is also the home of Barbados, and his mother is originally from Guyana mulatra.

She has two younger brothers named Rorrey and Rajad. She attended Charles F. Broome Memorial Primary School and then attended school Combermere School, where he formed a musical trio, with two of his colleagues.

Several major radio stations in Los Angeles, Boston and New Zorka broadcast versions of songs that were deleted parts of rap Jay-Z. The young American singer, Chris Brown wrote a song-response intiulat? "Cinderella", which has the same melodic line but another text. Remix had some attention from listeners, who preferred the official version. Because global success achieved by this song, it was reproduced by many singers from all over the world, having diferând styles from acoustic to hard rock.

Rihanna made formal appearances in several UK to promote the single. "Umbrella" has benefited from the promotion of large concerts and festivals like Live Earth, GMTV, Loose Women, Blue Peter, Kiss Concert 2007 Concert Sprint, Zoopotia Show Stripped show, Canadian Idol, 106 & Park and The View.

The video for this single was produced by Chris Applebaum and premiered on April 26, 2007. The video begins with rapper Jay-Z singing in a shower of sparks. Over the first chorus, it can be seen apparently walking on the tips. At the end of the video she dances with his umbrella and with the dancers, all in a shower of sparks. Awards in the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards video was nominated in five categories and won in two categories: Video of the Year and Monster Single of the Year site. In Poland that became the most aired video in MTV history, ahead of her hit "Hung Up" Madonna.

"Umbrella" became the first song sung by a woman who debuted in first place in the UK. It remained in that position for ten weeks. This won first place in the singles charts worldwide, becoming one of the biggest hit of 2007.

The song reached the first position in the UK in the period in which that area was hit by floods, which have made some people to joke saying that Rihanna is the curse. Unlike England, Greece "Umbrella" was the worst sales and leading positions in that area cofruntându is a very strong heat. In Greece, the single has reached number ten, but received so many broadcasts on radio and TV.

Rihanna has created a foundation - "Believe Foundation in 2006 to help children with various diseases in the terminal state. In September 2008, along with Carrie Underwood, Ciara, Beyonce, Leona Lewis, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey and Fergie helped campaign "Stand Up To Cancer" singing its anthem "Just Stand Up!"
