Tina Turner's real name was Anna Mae Bullock. She was born on November 26, 1939 in Nutbush, Tenessee. She is known as the most dynamic solo singer in music history. At the same time she is a grand mother, actress and a very known adept of the buddhist religion. Her concerts always managed to explode every concerts she's performed in with her amazing sexiness. Tina is a full artist with a career that spans over several decades. Her father, Floyd Richard Bullock was a Baptist deacon, farm overseer and factory worker but he is widely remembered as a farm worker. Her mother, Zelma Bullock was also a factory worker. Her father believed that Zelma had Native American ancestry, coming specifically from Cherokee and Navajo.

Tina was greatly inspired by the magazines, music and films. They made young Anna to dream at a life outside her city Netbush. When she was 17, her sister, Aline, made her a big surprise by taking her to one of the most known places in Saint Louis, Club Manhattan. Kings of Rhythm were singing there at the time and the lead singer was Ike Turner. A new chapter in her life that is now known as Tina Turner was about to begin. At the age of 18, Anna gives birth to her first child, a beautiful baby boy, of which the father was one of the members of the Kings of Rhythm band. Anna and the baby were shortly abandoned by the father. Two years later, young Anna was the lead vocalist of the band Kings of Rhythm and was recording the song "A Fool In Love" alongside Ike. The song shortly becomes a huge hit in the United States being something that Ike was waiting for more than 10 years. Ike and Anna move to California, and so Anna changes her name to Tina Turner.

In 1962, Ike asked Tina to marry him, in order to have better control over her. They got married two days later in Mexico, in Tijuana. Tinna was very unhappy, their wedding being just signing a few papers and not a real wedding with a bridal dress and a cake like a bride should have. Phil Spector enteres her life, one of the best producers of the moment, a producer that had more than 20 hits recorded in the last few years with bands like: The Crystals, The Ronettes and The Righteous Brothers (these were the kings of music at the time). Phil wished to work with Tina to record the song "River Deep, Mountain High" but Ike didn't want that because he was left out and not involved. He changed his position when Phil assured that on the cover of the disc, the title would say: Ike and Tina Turner. In the United States of America, "River Deep, Mountain High" was a big dissapointment for Tina and for Phil, touching only 88th place in 1966's Bilboard 100. Tina thought that the song was too r'n'b for the pop radios and too pop for the r'n'b radios. But in July of the same year, they had a big surprize. In Great Britan, the song reached 3rd place in the pop charts. Their success brought them allot of new fans in Europe, but also new friends including the members of the famous Rolling Stones band. The Rolling Stones invited them to sing at the opening of their new tour in the fall of the same year. Although at a professional level, Tina was doing very good, at a personal level Tina was very unhappy. Fights with Ike increased and became very common and violent. She oftenly ended up in hospital after being beat up by Ike. Although she was a battered woman, that stimulated her on a musical plan, and gave her big reasons to live.

At the age of 34, Tina receives a role in the musical "Tommy", the scenario being writen by the band "The Who". Although the role isn't an important one, the character "Acid Queen" brings hera new friend, the actress Ann Margaret. July 2 1976 represented the begining of the end. On the way to the first concert of her new tourney, that was supposed to take place in Dallas, Ike and Tina fight for the last time, this time Tina fought back surprising Ike. Once they arrived in Dallas, Tina leaves Ike forever, having only 36 cents in her pocket. Tina takes a one year break to put her life in order and at the age of 37 decides that she wants to continue singing.

In the summer of 81, everything was ready. Three shows at the Ritz Hotel were enough to make Rod Stewart notice her and he invites her to sing the song "Hot Legs" with him.
